Taher Elashry

Taher Elashry began his professional journey as a Site Engineer at Amoun Contracting Co., where he gained valuable experience working on industrial projects, including a Cement Factory and a Tank Factory. His career progressed as he moved to Fochi B&G, taking on roles as a Project Coordinator and Assistant Project Manager for HV Substation and Oil & Gas service projects in Abu Rudeis. In his pursuit of growth and new challenges, Taher joined ABB, where he played a pivotal role in setting up a construction company as a Business Development Manager. By 1998, Taher had ventured into entrepreneurship.

Founding his first company, OTAK Arabian, where he served as the Electromechanical Business Director. He quickly established the most successful Earthing and Lightning Protection specialized team in the Middle East and North Africa.

In 2001, He founded OTAK Trading and Contracting, relocating the Earthing and Lightning Protection business to this new company. Under his leadership, the company also established an Oil and Gas Services business unit, offering a range of Electromechanical Services to the industry.

His entrepreneurial spirit led him to the United States in 2012, where he founded and became the President of OTAK International in Illinois. In 2015, he expanded his ventures into Renewable Energy Solutions in Egypt, collaborating with top-tier experts in the field.

Continuing to innovate and expand, Taher developed OTAK Trading and Engineering in 2020, adding comprehensive Oil & Gas Services, as well as Engineering and Training services, with a significant presence in Africa and Iraq. Throughout his extensive career, Taher has consistently demonstrated a knack for developing companies and businesses within the industrial field. His journey is marked by numerous success stories, leaving a lasting impact on Offshore and Onshore projects and services.
