Mohran began his career with Petrobel (Belayim Petroleum Co.) as a geologist in Abu Rudeis, South Sinai, Egypt, eventually becoming the Prospect Generation Manager for the Offshore Mediterranean and Gulf of Suez. He evaluated open acreages and existing fields in various regions, including the Gulf of Suez, Western Desert, Offshore Mediterranean and abroad such as Tunisia , Bahrain , Iraq , Sudan as well as Cyprus.
Later served as the Assistant Chairman for Exploration, Development, and Agreements at Tharwa Petroleum Co. In 2015, he was promoted to Chairman roles at multiple companies, including Esh El Mallaha Petroleum Co. and Gulf of Suez Petroleum Co. (GUPCO). At GUPCO, he managed the transition between BP and Dragon Oil, UAE, and directed company policies, internal control systems, board meetings, budgets, and production objectives. He also oversaw geoscientists and petroleum engineers in new exploration and development wells, and conducted unconventional studies on the heavy oil Nubia reservoir, estimated at 500 MMSTBO, using modern extraction technology ( EOR).
Internationally, Mohran gained experience by attending various conferences, workshops, and training courses on oil and gas technical aspects, HSE, and management both in Egypt and abroad.
